We appreciate each and every follower, but maintaining this blog is a lot of work.
That’s why it was decided that if this blog reaches 100 followers within the next 3 weeks, we will go ahead and translate other charts as well.
That could be Korean charts or more Japanese independent charts. We also plan to track iTunes Japan in the near future.
Please help us out by re-blogging, liking and telling your friends about us! It really helps when people support us!!
Until then we will continue to translate one chart per day. Let’s work together :)

Following them at number 3 is Evangelion 1.11.
Although this blog is dedicated to Oricon charts, Amazon.co.jp charts have some really good data too.
All in all, it gives us a bigger look at the picture.
Look forward to Amazon chart translations in the near future!
5-member group TVXQ rise to the top of the Japanese music industry once more.
On the 25th, Oricon, Japan’s most widely accepted website for music sales statistics, reported that TVXQ’s 30th single “Toki Wo Tomete”, released on the 24th, sold 124,812 copies on the first day. It can be seen that all the music that TVXQ have released this year, have all risen to the top of the Oricon charts.
TVXQ’s 29th single “BREAK OUT!”, released 27 January, and their Japanese best album “BEST SELECTION 2010”, released 17 February, both achieved first place on the Oricon singles and album charts respectively.
Not only have their single attained first place on the charts, TVXQ is garnering a lot of attention as it remains to be seen whether the combined sales for their 3 works will exceed the 1,000,000 mark.
At present, “BREAK OUT!” have sold about 300,000 copies and “BEST SELECTION 2010” have sold about 450,000 copies, both breaking their own records.
t/n: if i recall correctly, “BEST SELECTION 2010” has already exceeded the 500k mark.
